In Canada for every $1 spent in marketing communications $6 is returned to our GDP. As the creators of economic growth, agencies must be at the country’s top tables to deliver their impact
said Scott Knox, President & CEO, ICA.
In January 2024, the ICA launched its Brands Need More Canada manifesto to boost the influence of Canada's agencies on the global stage and to drive growth in the agency sector through to 2030.
At the same time the ICA appointed Loyalist Public Affairs as its Federal and Provincial Government lobbying partner to navigate the corridors of power. Since then, the ICA has met with ministers, opposition members and civil servants to advocate for the quality and impact of Canadian agency talent.
The ICA is lobbying to have existing Film & TV tax credit programs extended to the agency sector and marketing production, have agencies take part in international trade missions and have agency talent receive Government support for skills development.
