Pitch Watchdog takes action on speculative work

The ICA got involved with the TTC bid process due to several complaints from active member agencies that the creative tender demanded free ‘spec' creative in order to win the business.

Our view is that speculative work is a drain of creative efforts & doesn’t really give the client what they need to make a proper decision in a tender process.

Once the ICA was involved (& after several communications with the TTC) the deadline for the tender was extended & the TTC removed the unpaid spec creative aspect of the tender.

We estimate that our intervention saved competing agencies over $300k.
